STRUCTURAL CONSTRAINTS ON THE TRANSITION OF SMALL BUSINESSES TO A GREEN ECONOMY (BASED ON DATA FROM NAMANGAN REGION)

Abstract

 The theses analyze the structural factors limiting the participation of small business in the transition to a green economy, based on statistics from Namangan region. Despite small business accounting for 73.6 percent of the region’s economy, its activity in the green transformation remains low. The analysis reveals three structural causes: the sector’s lowest share in industry, the absolute predominance of microfirms among active entities, and sharp disparities between districts. It is substantiated that the passivity of small business in the green transition is explained not by ecological awareness but primarily by the capital structure of the sector.
