THE ROLE OF CRITICAL THINKING IN DEVELOPING IELTS WRITING SKILLS.

Abstract

This scientific article analyzes the role of critical thinking in developing IELTS Writing skills. The study highlights that the Writing section of the IELTS examination requires not only grammatical knowledge but also logical and analytical thinking abilities. In addition, the concept of critical thinking, its scientific foundations, and its importance in the writing process are examined. The research analyzes the effectiveness of methods such as brainstorming, debate, peer review, problem-solving tasks, and essay analysis in improving critical thinking skills. The findings indicate that critical thinking positively affects the development of arguments, vocabulary enrichment, and the improvement of coherence and cohesion in writing. The article has significant theoretical and practical importance for students preparing for the IELTS examination.
