Abstract

This article examines the influence of teacher creativity on the effectiveness of English Language Teaching (ELT) in contemporary educational contexts. In recent years, methodological flexibility, innovative classroom practices, and learner-centered instruction have become key factors in improving language acquisition outcomes. The study analyzes how creative teaching approaches contribute to the development of students’ linguistic competence, motivation, critical thinking skills, and communicative confidence. Special attention is given to the use of interactive tasks, digital technologies, problem-solving activities, storytelling techniques, and authentic materials in English language lessons.

The research is based on analytical and comparative methods supported by recent pedagogical studies and statistical evidence related to learner engagement and academic performance. Findings from international educational research suggest that classrooms using creative instructional strategies show significantly higher levels of student participation and knowledge retention compared to traditional teacher-centered approaches. Recent ELT studies also indicate that learner-centered creative activities can increase classroom interaction by approximately 30–40%, while improving vocabulary retention and speaking performance.

Furthermore, the article highlights that teacher creativity serves not only as a methodological approach but also as a psychological factor that reduces learner anxiety and encourages active communication in a foreign language environment. The study also explores the role of creativity in multilingual and technology-enhanced educational settings, showing that creative teachers are more effective in addressing diverse learner needs and maintaining classroom motivation. The article concludes that teacher creativity should be considered an essential professional competency, as it significantly enhances educational effectiveness, learner autonomy, and long-term language development in ELT.
