Abstract

This article conducts a comprehensive analysis of effective strategies for capturing and maintaining students' attention in the modern classroom. As digital distractions increase, traditional teaching methods often struggle to sustain cognitive engagement. This study investigates the pedagogical and psychological factors that influence focus, emphasizing the transition from passive listening to active participation. The research explores practical "hooks," the use of interactive technologies, and the role of instructional variety in preventing mental fatigue. Findings suggest that creating a dynamic, learner-centered environment—where the teacher acts as a facilitator rather than a mere lecturer—significantly improves information retention and student motivation. The article provides actionable recommendations for educators to transform the classroom into a space of sustained interest and productive learning.
