In the context of globalization and rapid technological advancement, education systems are increasingly focused on developing higher-order thinking skills such as creativity and critical thinking. These competencies are considered essential for students to succeed in complex and unpredictable environments. This study investigates the role of creativity and critical thinking in modern education and their influence on students’ academic performance, problem-solving abilities, and engagement. A mixed-method research design was employed, combining theoretical analysis, classroom observations, and qualitative evaluation of teaching practices. The findings reveal that the integration of creative and critical thinking strategies significantly enhances students’ cognitive development, motivation, and independent learning. The study also highlights the importance of student-centered approaches and flexible curricula in fostering these skills. The research contributes to modern educational discourse and provides practical recommendations for educators aiming to improve teaching effectiveness.
