THE CHALLENGE OF ENGLISH DIALECTS FOR MODERN LEARNERS

Abstract

This article examines key aspects of English dialect variation, including accent and pronunciation, and analyzes learners’ perceptions through a targeted survey. The study also evaluates effective methods for improving accent and pronunciation, with particular attention to the role of textbooks, films, and TV shows as sources of authentic input. The findings suggest that regular exposure to diverse media significantly enhances comprehension and supports more accurate pronunciation.
