THE ROLE OF THE CLIL METHOD IN IMPROVING EDUCATION QUALITY AND LANGUAGE COMPETENCE

Abstract

This article analyzes the effectiveness of the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) method in the educational process and its role in developing students’ language competence. The CLIL approach integrates subject content and language learning, helping students enhance communication, critical thinking, and intercultural skills. The paper also discusses the advantages of CLIL, challenges in its implementation, and the opportunities for applying this approach in the education system of Uzbekistan. The findings show that the proper use of CLIL contributes to the simultaneous development of students’ reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills in a foreign language.
