This exploratory action research investigates the challenges encountered by language learners during Part Two of the speaking test, often known as the 'Long Turn' or 'Individual Long Turn' section, in standardized English language examinations. The study was conducted with intermediate-level EFL students who regularly struggled with content generation, organization, fluency, and anxiety during this section of the test. Data were collected through classroom observations, student interviews, and analysis of speaking performance recordings. The study identifies key factors contributing to students' difficulties and offers pedagogical recommendations to improve learner performance in Part Two of the speaking test.
